"As a computer programmer, teacher, and educational leader, I am very excited
and inspired by Keiki Coding. This is a powerful educational program that makes computer coding accessible to youth and can be a bridge to academic success and pathways to studying science, math, the arts, and technology. Students gain skills in visual literacy, problem-solving, pattern recognition, self-expression, time management, and collaboration while learning about native Hawaiian culture. They also experience technology as a vehicle for cultural learning, preservation, and revival; it is our hope that they are inspired to think about their own cultural heritage and share their own stories, becoming carriers of culture."
